Superb, sensational, fabulous, marvellous….

We’re off the charts bursting with pride after our own Eva Myers became England Schools' Champion Golfer 2024.
15-year-old Eva won the coveted title by a massive five shots after carding rounds of 72 and 69 for a three under par total.
And to further write her name in the history books, Eva’s afternoon score broke host venue Stanmore Golf Club ladies’ course record!
She will now go on to represent England Schools against Wales Schools at Stoke Rochford in September.
We’re super proud of you Eva.
We were delighted to present funds to support vital air ambulance work.

There were home successes galore when we hosted the Derbyshire Amateur Championships on Sunday.
Leading the way was 15-year-old Eva Myers who showed her elders the way to be crowned 2024 Ladies Champion with a 36-hole combined score of 153. It meant Eva triumphed by an impressive four shot margin.
And combining with teammate Mel Davey, Eva ensured the Scratch Team prize also stayed at Chesterfield with a combined score of 317.
Mel secured the top morning net round with a score of 74. Our own Gabby Auld got in on the act with an impressive best afternoon nett of 71.
In the gents competitions Richard Fletcher won the prize for the best 36-hole net score of 146, with fellow CGC member Tom Marvin securing the runners-up spot just a shot back.
And Alistair Logan picked up a prize for the best net morning round with a level-par 71.
On a tough scoring day, it was a brilliant performance by CGC players. Congratulations to all of our prize winners.
