Proposed In-House (Bar) Changes

We will shortly have a selection of new beer dispensing pumps and three new products on our bar. Our supplier, Heineken, has agreed to finance two ‘low-line T-bars’ which will dispense six of our products. Huttons, our agent and supplier, is providing an extra hand-pull which will allow us to give customers a choice of two traditional beers, probably a ‘blonde’ and a ‘chestnut’ or ‘amber’. Strongbow cider is to be replaced by Aspalls which is an up-market cider.

Guinness drinkers may have noticed that, when it is served it comes with a very large head, sometimes 1½” - 1¾”. This is because we do not sell very much Guinness, about 20 pints a week, thus taking 4-5 weeks to sell a keg, which causes a loss of quality and the large ‘head’. For this reason we are changing Guinness for Titanic Stout which is an excellent product.

I am sure that these changes will go down favourably with most members but please give them a try and let me know if you find them not to your liking.

The installation work for these changes is being paid for by Huttons, no cost to the Club at all.

Additionally, House are aware that a number of chairs in the lounge and dining room require re-covering, this is in hand and will be completed shortly.
