Playing on a quality golf course is a priority for members of golf clubs and we are very fortunate at Chesterfield to have an excellent course of which we can be proud, well presented and well maintained. This doesn’t happen by accident. It is the result of a high level of expertise and knowledge, doing the right thing at the right time. How this is done is a source of mystery and great wonder to me and many other golfers but what work is carried out, when and why is frequently a discussion topic around the course during rounds.
In order that members may have their questions addressed and thereby gain a better understanding of course management, Nick Miles has proposed making himself available to members in the clubhouse. The sessions will be informal and will last for a couple of hours or so. If you would like to meet Nick and get to know more, look out for the next date - and pop along with your questions. The first meeting was held on Saturday, 1st April from 12.00 to 2.00 p.m.
If there is ongoing member interest, similar sessions will become a regular event.
