Below are three photos of areas of the course that are causing concern for our staff. They show: unrepaired pitchmarks on a green; a gouge from spiked shoe also unrepaired; and a bunker left in an unacceptable state.
The members, or maybe they were visitors, who caused the above damage obviously have no respect for our course.
We all have a responsibility to leave the course in an acceptable state and it takes no time at all to repair a pitch-mark or scuff. All it takes is the will to do it!!
The bunker condition is just unacceptable. The player has almost had to step over the rake in order to squiggle his club over his footprints. How much more effort would it have taken to pick up the rake? Please leave the bunkers in the same condition you would expect to find them and encourage all the members in your group to do so. You never know, you might be the one to land in someone’s footprint next time you are on the course.
Thanks to all of you for your help in keeping the course in great condition.
Have a great weekend’s golf
