Our annual course assessment will take place on Monday (20 May).
Agronomists from specialist turf consultancy agency STRI have traditionally carried out our survey in August/September each year, towards the end of the playing season.
However, given the stresses placed on the course by recent extreme weather, we’ve brought the 2019 assessment forward to give reassurance and advice that we’re doing all we can to provide the best recovery and playing surfaces for members.
The resultant report is expected to follow 2-3 weeks after the inspection and will be made available to members.
The assessment process will cause no disruption to play on Monday.
At the end of August 2017, Adam Newton, Turf Agronomist from STRI, conducted an inspection of the course in the company of our then Chairman, Terry Woodhouse, Course Manager, Nick Miles and Alan Miles and John Outram from the 2017 Greens Committee.
