21st December - Keith is progressing well. Alan Ridley brought him to the Clubhouse yesterday where his arrival was greeted by cheers from the members present. He's not allowed to play golf or to drive for some time, but he is making good progress. "Mos" - we wish you well!
And a little really good news about one of our Past Captains! Keith Mosley is recovering well in hospital and it is anticipated that he will have an operation today to fit a defibrillator in his chest. Once everything has gone well he will be coming back home within a couple of days. It'll be great to see him soon at the Club.
As many of you will know, Past Captain, Keith Mosley, collapsed on 8th Nov. on the 17th fairway at the golf course. He was treated at the scene initially by Club Members and Club Staff whilst awaiting an ambulance. On arrival, the Paramedics assessed the situation and called for the Air Ambulance. The Air Ambulance staff treated Keith before transporting him to the Northern General Hospital.
Keith was kept in an induced coma for a period of time but is now out and is able to speak. He has some small loss of movement in one of his hands, but that is expected to return. He is being fed by tube. He has two blood clots, one on the brain and one in/near the heart. Both are treatable. He is out of the critical care unit and into high dependecy.
Our thoughts are with Keith and Cora along with our best wishes for a full recovery.
