The Club introduced a formal Course Closure Policy to ensure that members and visitors are made fully aware of everything that's taken into account when assessing whether or not to open the course for play and whether or not there should be any restrictions.

It is the intention of the board of directors and green staff to provide the best possible golfing experience for members and visitors at Chesterfield Golf Club. At last night's board meeting, directors unanimously approved the following amendment to the course closure policy. The change is in upper case letters.
4.1. The Course Manager may make any of the following decisions on the course (or any specified holes) regarding closure and restrictions upon play:
In order to minimise the restriction on buggies/trolleys in such conditions, every attempt will be made to open holes where conditions allow. These holes may not be in sequence and therefore members with buggies/trolleys should wait for their playing partners to arrive at the hole before continuing unless no-one on the tee or playing the previous hole before they tee off.
