A sequence of still photos from the evening is shown below - it includes one of Mike Aves, our Chairman, congratulating Sean Doyle on his appointment as Secretary / Manager to succeed Trevor Glover on his retirement. It also includes one of Chris Gartland whose engagement was announced during the evening.
Below the still photo sequence is a YouTube video of the Captains' first dance.

What a night! It was amazing; we had had a good 6 inches of snow during the day and the roads were very icy but it did not deter people from coming except poor Trevor and Elaine who had to turn back as they could not get over the tops for snow!
It certainly was an evening with a difference and there was a definite Irish Theme attached to it.
Neil put on an excellent meal of curry which was much appreciated in the cold weather.
The Captains’ first dance was certainly something different and can be viewed on our website, I do recommend you to go there and watch it, it’s fun!
The band ‘Prophecy’ played all the favour-ites and had everyone dancing.
The Parking Space raffle was drawn and Terry Woodhouse was the winner but he put it up for Auction. The eventual winner was John Begley. Well done to all as this made in excess of £325 for the Captains’ charities.
Unfortunately, the snow did not stop during the evening and those that were last to leave i.e. the band, ended up having to stay the night as they could not get out of the drive. Neil and Miles did a great job of organising accommodation for them (good job we have bed settees in the lounge!)
A big thank you from Martin and Tracey to all those who made the evening such a success.
