The Chesterfield Golf Club welcomes visitors. Our beautiful, long established and mature parkland course nestles amongst woodland at the edge of the Peak District National Park. It provides an enjoyable challenge to all standards of golfer.

Mike, our Professional,  and Enid, his wife, will give you a warm reception as you check in. Neil, his wife, Nicola and their staff will look after your sustinence before and / or after your round in our Clubhouse.

We have buggies for hire (must be pre-booked) for those who wish to use them.

Dress Code

Whilst The Chesterfield Golf Club welcomes visitors, it does request that everyone respects the dress code which applies equally to members and visitors alike:-

 

On the Course

  • Shorts may be worn but they must be tailored and of a respectable length and must be worn either with sports socks or knee length stockings. Trousers must not be worn tucked into socks; shirts must be tucked into trousers.
  • Training shoes, denim jeans and collarless/sleeveless shirts are not allowed on the course. 
  • Ladies may wear sleeveless blouses.

In the Clubhouse

  • Smart casual dress  including smart (tailored) shorts are allowed in the Clubhouse unless otherwise specified by the committee for designated events. When shorts are worn, sports socks or knee length stockings must also be worn.
  • Soiled shirts and trousers are not permitted in the lounge, dining room or snooker room at any time.  If in doubt, change before you enter these areas.
  • Golf shoes, whether spiked or pimple soled, are allowed only in the Professional’s Shop and the Locker Rooms.
  • Training shoes and denim jeans are not allowed in the Clubhouse.
  • Gentlemen may not wear collarless/sleeveless shirts in the Clubhouse and all shirts must be tucked into trousers.
  • Outerwear, (coats, overcoats, raincoats, anoraks, golf jackets etc.) may not be taken into the Main Lounge, Dining Room, Snug or Snooker Room.
  • Mobile Phones must be switched off whilst members and visitors are in the Clubhouse
  • Smoking is not permitted
  • Changing is not allowed in the Car Park.
