Welcome to Chesterfield Golf Club

The Chesterfield Golf Club (also known locally as Walton golf club), is a beautiful, well established and wonderfully maintained parkland course set amidst stunning views in North East Derbyshire. You can be assured of a wonderful welcome in our very attractive clubhouse bar, lounge and restaurant which have spectacular views down the 10th and 18th fairways towards the Peak District. Come and enjoy the quality of our catering services which is second to none.
Visitors can find out more information about our course and view photo sequences of most of our holes. You may also view current green fees and special offers for visiting parties.

We have completeda significant course improvement programme, which has contributed to our course becoming what we believe is the one of the most attractive and highest quality courses in the North Midlands.

The initial view to the right is from the Clubhouse down the 10th fairway and up the 18th to its green.

Winter Rules have reverted to 'Lift, Clean and Place' and 'Relief for a Plugged Ball through the green', and the compulsory use of mats or move to the edge is no longer be applicable. A "soft spike" policy is to be introduced from 1st May.

Detailed Course Work Status here

(Members' additional information here).
During the 2013/2014 Winter, we've implemented a completely new irrigation system throughout our course which should show significant benefit in future dry periods and ensure our course is presented at its very best for both members and visitors.
For up-to-date information on whether or not the course is open and any restrictions, please ring the Course Line on 01246 279256 Extension 6 (updated daily at 7.15am). Link to LocalBBC Weatherforecast.

The Marketing committee would like to have some new course guides printed with all the up to date information on and would very much welcome an offer of sponsorship for these. The cost of 1000 would be £1,000 plus VAT and the sponsors name and details would be on front and back as a minimum. Please contact Liz Day if you think it is a possibility.
